To stiffen a very fine fabric, iron lightweight interlining onto both fabric pieces.2.Sew the two fabric pieces together, right sides together. Leave the straight end open. Press seams apart.3.Trim excess fabric at the pointed end so that you get a nice sharp point when you turn the belt to the right side.4.Turn belt to the right side. Press seams.5.Pleat or gather the straight end to buckle width. Top-stitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Overlock the end.6.Slide the buckle onto the belt. Sew it on by hand, using small stitches.
