1.Pennant with raw edge: Cut the number of pennants you need from the template. If you want to make them with one layer of fabric, we recommend using cotton canvas or oilcloth, which has minimal fraying. You can also cut the pennants with pinking shears. If necessary, glue 2 pieces of fabric together back to back with vlisofix (see DIY8044) before cutting your pennants. 
2.Zigzag string or ribbon along the top edge of the pennant, with the desired distance between each pennant. 
3.Stitch the pennant right sides together with a 0.5 seam 
4.Pennant with overlock: Cut the number of pennants you need from the template. If you are using fabric with a print on one side only, you can glue 2 pieces of fabric together back to back using vlisofix (see DIY8044), before cutting your pennants. 
5.Overlock/zigzag along the edge of the pennant. You can choose to let the thread match the fabric or sew with a contrasting colour. 
6.Zigzag string or ribbon along the top edge of the pennant, with the desired distance between each pennant. 
7.Reverse stitched pennant: You need 2 pices of fabric for one finished pennant. 1. Cut the number of pennants you need using the template. 
8.Sew together right sides together with 0.5 cm seam allowance. 
9.Cut off corners. 
10.Turn the right side out and press. 
11.Zigzag string or ribbon along the top edge of the pennant, with the desired distance between each pennant.
