Meanwhile, our dedicated Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL design team creates the loveliest collection of trendy fabrics, ribbons, etc. for baby, children, adults and home décor, to make it easy for YOU to make amazing creations and personalize your designs down to the smallest detail. Each year, we launch four new collections of fabrics by the metre and accessories, tell you all about these and pass on our latest creative ideas and designs to you in our fantastic ideas books.

Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL is a family-owned company that first saw the light of day in 1980, when husband and wife team, Peter and Marianne Lerche, founded Peters Resthal in Herning, Denmark. Peters Resthal sold fabric roll ends from local textile manufacturers and was soon a great success – so the Lerches founded Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL, selling goods by mail order. They continued to expand the product range.

 

Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL was soon designing and producing its own products and patterns. We still do. Today, we run 29 stores in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany and sell online in 13 countries. Combining our many years of experience, and fashion and design expertise with our passion for creativity and quality, we seek to inspire you to create unique projects of your own. We can't wait to help get you started!

At Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL online, we stock EVERYTHING you need for your creative projects – from fabrics, patterns and haberdashery to yarn and hobby items. In other words, we don't sell finished products but we do sell the things you need to make unique creations. To make it very easy for you to get started on creative projects, Selfmade®/STOFF & STIL online offers a collection of kits.
