There are different fabrics that are particularly suitable for costumes. Here are the fabrics we love the most and why.

Cotton canvas

Our plain cotton canvas is available in a wide range of colors. It's also easy to work with, both in terms of cutting and sewing. And the price is quite favorable.

Fleece

Fleece is warm and soft, ideal for costumes that need to be worn outdoors or in colder climates. It doesn't unravel, which means you can leave the edges raw - and that saves a lot of time. And it doesn't curl - bonus!

Tulle

Tulle is great for adding volume and drama, for example to princess dresses - and you don't even have to sew it. For example, cut strips of tulle and tie a piece of elastic and voila - a stunning skirt that's ready in minutes. Tulle does not unravel and is available in a wide range of colors.

Lining

Lining is a great fabric for costumes. It's relatively inexpensive and comes in many colors. Acetate lining or polyester lining have a shiny surface that gives costumes a festive and glamorous look. It's great for princess dresses, superhero capes or other costumes that need to look 'expensive'.

Jersey

Jersey is stretchy and comfortable to wear. This gives freedom of movement to the costumes, making them ideal for tight-fitting costumes such as superhero outfits or animal costumes.

Velour and faux fur

Choose velour and faux fur for a luxurious look and rich texture. They are great for capes, princess dresses, animal costumes, or royal costumes. And they're nice and warm to wear.

Felt

Felt is a non-woven fabric that doesn't tangle and is easy to cut into shapes. It's great for making masks, hats and other small details for costumes.
