How to make a fried egg costume
This costume is based on our basic pattern: oval, which is sewn up in soft white fleece. The yolk is crafted in yellow felt. We've used a dinner plate as a target.
To give the yolk a bit of filling, we cut 2 layers of micro batting (1cm smaller than the felt piece itself). The yolk and micro wadding are then sewn onto the suit with a tight zigzag stitch.
Alternatively, you can use teddy bear filling to give the yolk a puffed look. Just make sure to leave a small opening of around 5 cm when sewing on the yolk. Through this opening, you can easily add a little padding with teddy bear stuffing before sewing the opening closed.
Both methods give the yolk a puffed look.
