This costume is based on our simple 'square' base pattern, which we've transformed into a triangle to create a pizza shape. For the pizza itself, we've chosen polar fleece in a warm yellow shade to keep your little ones nice and warm.

 

To add life to the pizza, we created salami slices from wine red felt, decorated with white dots made with fabric marker and added pepper rings cut from dark green felt. All these ingredients are easily attached with vliesofix, which simply needs to be ironed on.

Remember, you can customize the pizza toppings to your taste. Maybe your little ones love mushrooms, sausages, tomatoes or something else on their pizza. That way, you can include your little ones in the process and let them help create a pizza costume they'll love to wear. 

 

Tip: apply vliesofix to the felt first. Draw your shape on the paper side of the fusible web, cut it out and iron it onto the costume. This way you only need to cut the shape once.

 

You can choose to add a piece of elastic to the side to keep the pizza slice in place.

You can make this costume without a sewing machine. That's what we call a quick fix! The elastic at the side can easily be fastened by hand.
